National Apprenticeship Scheme

National Apprenticeship Scheme

Mitsubishi Electric has announced the launch of its National Apprenticeship Scheme in collaboration with the National Apprenticeship Service (NAS) and Building Engineering Services Training (BEST).

The programme is being run in conjunction with 24 of our Partners thereby enabling the programme to appeal for new recruits right across the country.

What is an apprenticeship

The Mitsubishi Electric National Apprenticeship Scheme is part of a nationally recognised framework that provides a way for young people and adult learners to earn while they learn in a real job, gaining a real qualification and a real future. Within each framework are various qualifications which are recognised by an awarding organisation such as City & Guilds.

Entry requirements

The National Apprenticeship Scheme is suitable for individuals who have sufficient entry qualifications, and an aptitude for technical subjects.

  • Candidates must be aged under 21 at time of joining
  • Practical (craft-based): Minimum entry requirements prescribed by BEST are GCSE (or equivalent) grades A-C in Maths, English and D in Science
  • Building services (technical): Minimum entry requirements prescribed by BEST are GCSE (or equivalent) grades A-C in Maths, English and Science and one other subject.

Anyone interested in participating in Mitsubishi Electric's apprenticeship programme should visit the Vacancies section at and search using the keyword "Mitsubishi" and their location to find opportunities in their area.
